Workshop on Human Needs, Human Rights & Responsibilities
(Towards Building Community Social Transformers)

On 23rd May 2024, youth groups from Puttalam District — including Kalpitiya, Rathmalyaya, Kurunegala, Palavi, Thillaiyadi, Soldan, Puttalam and students from NISD — came together for a transformative workshop centered on:
Awareness of Human Needs, Human Rights, and Human Responsibilities
Valuing and promoting freedom of religious belief and expression for all
Encouraging active reflection through the principles of:
Think, Believe, Belong, Practice, Question, Transform, Reject
The goal was to empower youth as regional community social transformation leaders, enabling them to challenge social norms, promote inclusion, and defend basic freedoms in their localities.
